Typical parts made this way
- Spring clips, retaining clips, and flat springs from strip
- Electrical terminals, connectors, and battery contacts
Materials suited to spring temper and conductivity
Beyond standard SPCC/SECC steel and stainless, we stamp from phosphor bronze, beryllium copper, and other copper alloys - materials chosen for spring temper (holding force after repeated flexing) or electrical conductivity, depending on whether the part is a spring or a contact. Usable thickness depends on the material and the part.
Tooling and finishing
These parts are typically made on progressive-die tooling like our other stamped parts; who builds the tooling is stated in the quote. Plating - Zn, Ni, Sn, or Au flash for terminals and contacts that need low contact resistance - can be arranged through Taiwanese finishing subcontractors; available finishes and inspection scope are confirmed per order.
If you need coiled wire springs instead
Flat springs and clips here are stamped from strip. If your application needs a coiled wire spring - compression, extension, or torsion - that's a different process; our sister site Formosa Spring covers that separately.
Quality control
Inspection scope (for example first-article inspection and SPC on critical dimensions) is agreed per order - see our Quality and Material Traceability page for the full detail.
